It has now officially come out that Season 7 of “Koffee With Karan” will be getting streamed on Disney+Hotstar from July 7th. And various top notch celebrities from across India including much hyped Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be sitting on the couch. But here is what Karan Johar has to say about the whole thing.

When Karan Johar called up many celebrities, they are said to have rejected to become part of the show. Back then, celebs used to eagerly desire a call from KJo in order to take part in the show. They used to feel it like a prestige and image boost if they turn up on this show.

However, things have changed after social media apps like Instagram and Twitter grew in popularity. KJo’s Koffee With Karan lost sheen due to these developments, but then, here is the main cause for the declining popularity.

During the last season, there are certain things that have happened that led to a nationwide uproar. The first one includes Hardik Pandya talking about his flirtationship with many women, and that invited him a couple of warnings from BCCI too.

Later we have Sara Ali Khan revealed that Karthik Aryan is her crush and Saif Ali Khan asked her if the young hero has huge money or not. These things turned quite controversial and celebs started to fear if they have to appear on this show.

“Most folks I’ve called them have directly said, call us to your home for a coffee, but not for the same on your show”, says KJo, explaining how tough it has become to bring people to the show.
