There are some films that don’t get huge critical applause but will go on to reap huge collections at the box office. And some films get immense appreciation from all quarters, but the collection registers never ring anything. One such film is “777 Charlie”, a film featuring Rakshit Shetty and a dog, which won terrific praise from many quarters.
Other day, none other than Superstar Rajnikanth is said to have called the hero to appreciate his efforts. “Rajni sir watched #777Charlie last night and has been in awe of the film. He spoke highly of the making quality, the deeper designs of the film, and especially expressed his admiration for the climax and how it concludes on a spiritual note” shared Rakshit, through his micro blogging page.
Well, making a film with a dog isn’t an easy thing, and the way Charlie was designed is really interesting. Especially pet lovers have become huge fans of the film, and some of them have watched it multiple times. But lack of commercial elements and glamour touch has made the movie move away from the masses in B & C centres, and that’s the reason for the lack of collections in the first place, though its not a loss venture.
Directed by Kiranraj, 777 Charlie made a worldwide gross of nearly ₹50+ crores, while the film is carved out at a cost of ₹25 crores.
