Though neither the producers nor Amazon Prime is promoting a lot about “Sarkaaru Vaari Paata”, most of the Telugu audiences who haven’t watched the film are right now enjoying it on the OTT platform. However, most the audiences are up for disappointment as the euphoria of watching a movie in a theatre will be different, and catching up on TV is different.
The majority of the households who watched Sarkaaru Vaari Paata are now asking, ‘How could you (Parasuram) do this to Mahesh Babu?’. This is because of the silly scenes and irritating dialogues that Parasuram has written for the Superstar. While the dialogues like comparing ‘loan’ (appu) with a daughter (aadapilla) and Mahesh-Keerthy’s double meaning comedy in second half are not even appealing to family audience.
And then, when action sequences in films like Khaidi where the whole film banks on a lengthy lorry ride are enticing the audience big time, the lorry gatecrash sequence in SVP looks quite crappy and badly executed. Many film lovers are asking why would Mahesh Babu agree to this poorly baked story in the first place.
Also, people who know well about banks and who work in banks are laughing at the core point of the movie where a Bank Officer (Nadiya) gets arrested for the non-payment of a ₹ 10000 crores loan by a big shark (Samuthirakani). In no case, a Bank Officer will get arrested for a bad loan unless the Officer took huge bribes and got some unlawful benefits.
When a film featured Mahesh Babu, there should be some reality and some sensibility along with some commercial elements, but you can’t take the audience for granted with 100% illogical and irresponsible stuff. That’s what many film lovers are feeling after catching up with SVP on OTT.
