The once celebrated producer, MS Raju, who has come up with films like Okkadu and Varsham, has turned to direction and carved out some small films that are albeit laced with adult content. His latest movie “7 Days 6 Nights” was released other day and here is what the producer has to say.
In fact, the film has no novel point and it is all about two couples enjoying their time in Goa with the two heroines flaunting their ravishing bodies in two-piece outfits. Raju is saying that the film has picked up quite well in theatres as youths are rushing to theatres in huge numbers. Only he could say that as ticket windows are showcasing that the occupancy is very poor everywhere. However, more than the film’s release and content, Raju garu is worried about ticket rates.
“Movie is good and collections are picking up big time but it is the situation of small-budgeted films in Tollywood that is worrying me” he said. However, MS Raju accused that Tollywood got limited only to ‘big movies’ these days as many producers are making only big films with big heroes. “Even Happy Days like film might not work if it releases today due to the things here as ticket prices are huge now. Please do something about it” he says.
Well, Raju garu saying that his film is doing quite well and he wants the government to do something about the welfare of other small movies is a statement that we cannot quite understand. Ticket rates have come down to normal rates already, isn’t it?
