Madhavan is currently gearing up for the release of his maiden directorial venture ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely charged with espionage in 1994.
In the film, R Madhavan will essay the role of Nambi Narayanan. The film, slated to release on July 1, has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. It will be out in six languages worldwide, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Madhavan, the actor and director, is currently occupied with promotional interviews and events. He revealed many interesting details about the film during a promotional interview. ‘While Nambi Narayanan sir was explaining his life story, ISRO, and NASA, I felt like he was James Bond,’ Madhavan said. He is a true rockstar; his accomplishments astounded me, and he didn’t share anything for the sake of publicity. His story moved me deeply.
‘I was fixed,’ he continued, “I have to tell this inspiring story to the world.” I’ve been worked on this story for about a year and a half. No other scientist in the world has faced as many obstacles and challenges as Nambi Narayanan. We must know his story.’
