Director Venu Udugula has amassed a huge name after his debut film “Needhi Naadhi Oke Kadha” which hasn’t done well commercially but impressed critics and a section of audiences.
That led to huge expectations for his second movie, Virata Parvam featuring Sai Pallavi and Rana in the leads, but with the film going into making for more than 3 years, the steam got lost.
Though Sai Pallavi and Rana tried to bring huge buzz for the film before the release, the lackluster content failed to click at the box office and on top of that, within two weeks of release, the film surfaced on Netflix as well.
Reports are coming that Mythri Movie Makers and Sithara Entertainments who were actually supposed to make the next movie with Venu are now not showing interest. Because they can’t get big heroes for the director now and they don’t want to make a small budgeted film with Venu with freshers or not-so-popular heroes as leads.
With both these big production houses not giving him the chance though they have given him advance payment already, Venu Udugula is said to have approached Asian Films for a film, and that might take off very soon, says a source. He will be directing some young heroes or freshers in this project.
