Sometimes, Twitter India behaves quite strangely in the name of policies that can’t be understood by the common man. And now, they have gone to an extent where they removed the ‘blue tick’, which is nothing but the officially verified badge that is shown next to a name on Twitter pages. They have removed the blue tick of none other than Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar who expired unexpectedly a couple of months ago.
Kannada Powerstar Puneeth’s account on Twitter has nearly 3.8+ lakh followers, and the micro-blogging site has now removed the ‘blue tick’ of the account. They say that the account should be re-verified by the people who are supposed to be operating in, in order for the blue tick to continue.
However, fans of the actors are spreading fumes as the blue-ticks of the accounts of expired celebrities like hero Sushanth Singh Rajput and Bigg Boss fame Siddharth Shukla are pretty much there.
Powerstar’s fans are trolling ‘Twitter India’ since this happened and they want the blue tick to be restored immediately. However, Twitter is yet to respond to this and hasn’t given any official explanation about the same.
