We are going to witness a clash between three films on August 5. They are Sita Ramam, Bimbisara and Karthikeya 2. The clash needs to be avoided because all these films are made with heavy budgets and if they release on the same day, it will affect the business of all of them.
Out of these three, Bimbisara and Karthikeya 2 are fantasy films. As both the movies belong to the same genre, distributors are feeling that it will affect the openings.
Apparently, a big distributor is holding discussions with the producers of both the flicks. It is heard that neither of them is ready to push the release date.
Ravi Teja’s Ramarao on Duty is releasing on July 29. Macharla Niyojakavargam, Laal Singh Chaddha and Cobra are releasing on August 11 and August 12. So, Karthikeya 2 or Bimbisara cannot be preponed or postponed by a week because theatres cannot be adjusted.
In fact, Karthikeya 2 was originally supposed to hit the screens on July 22. But the makers have postponed it to August 5. Now, we have to see if it gets postponed again or decides to take on Bimbisara and Sita Ramam.
