The most awaited teaser of Dhanush’s Sir (Vaathi in Tamil) is unveiled on his birthday today where he is seen as honest teacher Bala Gangadhar Tilak. The protagonist fights against the ‘Education Mafia’. He utters in the dialogue, “Distribute the education. Don’t sell it like a dish in the five-star hotel.” This sums up what Dhanush and Venky Atluri are offering.
“Education is like an offering to God in the temple,” says Dhanush in the teaser stressing the value of education equating it to ‘Naivedyam’ offered to deity in the temple. It’s a goose-bump teaser from Venky Atluri as it revolves around Education system and how it has become a huge business keeping aside values, morals attached to it. Young teacher Bala Gangadhar Tilak stands against the privatisation of education system.
Dhanush nails it in the action episodes. His dialogue delivery and body language add muscle to the teaser. Undoubtedly, he carries off the teaser on his shoulders. Going by the teaser, dialogues seem to have worked in favour of the film.
The thumping background score by GV Prakash, Yuvraj’s powerful visuals and terrific performance of Dhaunsh and other actors make Sir teaser a gripping action drama. Venky Atluri, who so far made soft and romantic films, made a social drama with message.
The production values are rich. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments along with Ms. Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas. Overall, Sir teaser hits on the right chords.
