A recent instance at a theatre where Thank You is being premiered proves the same.
At Ranga theatre in Velugodu village of Nandhyala district in Andhra Pradesh, the theatre owner announced a discount on the film tickets.
With ‘Thank You’ opening to a disastrous response from the viewers and critics, the theatre footfalls have slowed steadily. The audience is interested in watching films in theatres in the A centers, but this is not the case in B and C centers.
As a result, the particular theatre management announced a ‘1+1’ offers on the movie tickets. With a ticket priced at 70 rupees, two people can watch the film for 70 rupees. This clearly shows how much the theatrical business has been affected.
The public response and word of mouth have been playing a key role in a film’s survival in theatres in the current times.
Irrespective of the film’s result, it has become tough to witness grand openings for star actors. So, it is extremely hard for the young heroes even more.
It’s high time the filmmakers meet the audiences at the theatres with engaging and entertaining content.
‘Thank You’ is directed by Vikram K Kumar. Raashi Khanna played the female lead. Dil Raju is the film’s producer.
