Rama Rao On Duty was released yesterday. The Raviteja starrer misfired due to the flat narration and overdose of heroism. While Rama Rao’s duty derailed because of many things, there is one thing where it got right and Pushpa got it wrong.
Rama Rao On Duty is based on missing persons and the red sander smuggling mafia behind it. We already know that Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is also based on the rags to riches of Pushpa Raj with Red Sanders smuggling.
In one of the highlight scenes of Pushpa, Allu Arjun pushes a whole lot of red sanders into the reservoir only to collect them at the dam. The wood logs float and travel all the way to the dam in that scene. In Rama Rao On Duty, there is one scene where the director underlines that the red sander wood is so dense that it will sink in the water and the smugglers use that nature of it to hide under the water.
In fact, the red sander is the only type of wood that does not float on the water. It looks like the mastermind Sukumar missed a small logic in Pushpa. Anyway, a miss in a little logic doesn’t hurt when the movie Pushpa is already a blockbuster.
