Karthikeya is a big hit in Telugu. Starring Nikhil Siddarth in the lead role, it gave the young hero a permanent survival in the film industry. The movie also marked the directorial debut of Chandoo Mondeti. A sequel is now hitting the screens on August 12th. The film was supposed to release in July, but the makers ‘are forced to postpone the film’s release.’
The film unit is busy with promotions, and Nikhil actively interacts with the media. During his media interaction, Nikhil became emotional several times, talking about the film’s release and how they were forced to change the release date.
According to the reports in the media, Karthikeya 2, which was supposed to hit the screens on 22nd July, was postponed to give a solo release to ‘Thank You’. The makers of Karthikeya 2 then picked August 12th as the release date, but it looks like some people in the film industry want the team to further postpone their movie.
“They asked us to postpone the film to October or November, saying that our movie might not see the light of the day anytime soon. They told us that we wouldn’t get enough screens and theatres for the film’s release and I cried a lot thinking about the situation,” reportedly said Nikhil.
Everyone is curious to know who must have troubled Nikhil and his team. If Nikhil who scored multiple hits faces a situation like this, the young heroes of the film industry who enter without a background would definitely be facing serious problems.
On August 12th, along with Karthikeya 2, Nithiin’s Macharla Niyojakarvagm is also hitting the screens.
