Currently what is being talked about in the tinsel town is the re-release of Mahesh Babu’s superhit film “Pokiri” in theatres. Usually, superhit films of yesteryear always get screened somewhere or the other during Sivaratri times and other festival days, but this time, they have released the remastered version of “Pokiri” in 4K quality. And that is leading to many demands now which are rather unwanted.
Apparently with Mahesh’s Pokiri re-mastered version releasing on the eve of Mahesh’s birthday, now Pawan Kalyan’s fans are demanding Allu Arvind to release the remastered version of “Jalsa” in theatres. Even some ardent devotees of Ram Gopal Varma are creating hulchul on Twitter to release 1989’s Siva in theatres, and they are redirecting all their request tweets to Nagarjuna Akkineni.
One wonders why all this demand for old films when those movies are readily available to watch on many OTT platforms and some films are available on YouTube for free as well. At a time when audiences is watching most of the movies on OTT alone, why are fans demanding special 4K version shows is surely confusing movie lovers.
They say that fans just want to heighten their pride if the past hit films of their hero are released in theatres, and hence these unwanted demands.
