Taapsee’s Movie Facing A Threat From Telugu Film

Heroine Taapsee Pannu has gone out of Tollywood after doing some glam films here but not seeing the result, and slowly she climbed the ladder in Bollywood with her sheer acting brilliance and hard work. Finally, she’s part of a big ticket movie like Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki opposite Shah Rukh Khan. But then, it looks like today’s release, Anurag Kashyap’s Dobaara, is going to face the music from a Telugu movie.

After watching the trailers of the film Dobaara, many understood that it is a crime thriller that has a time travel concept as well. However, many distributors up in the north are said to be hugely interested in giving a huge number of screens to “Karthikeya 2”. Even multiplexes are said to have allotted a large number of screens to this film featuring Nikhil rather than Taapsee’s outing.

In fact, Karthikeya 2 is doing good just based on word of mouth and already posted nearly ₹4+ crores nett from the Bollywood market. They say that Taapsee’s film might not get huge openings as long as Karthikeya 2 is in the race and only some great reviews and terrific word of mouth will help it. Let’s see what happens.
