Mani Ratnam is one of the most celebrated directors in the Telugu film industry. In a career spanning over 40 years, Mani Ratnam has delivered a few memorable films for the Indian audience. He is now coming up with his dream project, Ponniyin Selvan.
The first part of this film will be released on September 30. Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, and Aishwarya Lekshmi played pivotal roles in the movie. The movie’s teaser got a phenomenal response from the viewers.
Recently, the makers participated in a promotional event in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, Mani Ratnam thanked a few Telugu film industries. “I have to thank Chiranjeevi garu. I will not say the reason behind it. You will know it once you watch the film,” said Mani Ratnam.
“I have to thank Rajamouli garu. He gave us the confidence to make larger-than-life films and that too in multiple parts. I’m handing over the responsibility of this film to Dil Raju garu. He should take care of my baby in Telugu. I should also thank Tanikella Bharani garu for his unconditional support,” he added.
Ponniyin Selvan will have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. AR Rahman composed the music for it. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies have jointly bankrolled the project.
