No big hero has scored success this year in Bollywood as only Karthik Aryan’s Bhool Bhulayya 2 became the solo blockbuster so far for the Hindi film industry while The Kashmir Files is another one. At that moment, Bollywood folks thought that Vijay Devarakonda’s Liger, directed by Puri Jagan and produced by Karan Johar will give them a big break. But then, things went for a toss.
Even Tollywood has expected that Bollywood is going to first biggest hit this year through “Liger” as Vijay Devarakonda confidently stated that the film is going to make it quite big. However, all the expectations of the audience were mismatched as the film collections are not on the Jet speed, but comparatively better than Aamir Khan’s recent release Laal Singh Chadda.
Now that the film got mixed talk, with Friday collections looking normal and Saturday bookings average, surely Karan Johar has to rethink a lot of strategies. Though he is bringing the film “Brahmastra” now, it is not that to recover from the blow of “Liger” as the audience are not going to believe in the promotional stunts of stars anymore. Also with Ranbir’s recent film Shamshera too failing to click, Bollywood got pushed into more trouble even though Brahmastra is being promoted quite well.
