Liger which marks Vijay Deverakonda’s Hindi debut has collected Rs 5.5 Crore Nett on its opening day which also includes Thursday night paid premieres. The film directed by Puri Jagannadh and has Ananya Panday as the female lead has garnered pretty good numbers on Day 1 considering that Vijay is a debutante in Hindi.
The film achieved this opening feat in Hindi due to the hype, rigorous promotions and the film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The action genre and Vijay’s body transformation and his positioning as the heartthrob among young heroines all seem to have reflected on the Opening Day BO collection.
In Telugu too, Liger registered a pretty good opening. We have to wait and see how the film will fare in the weekend and the coming Ganesh Chaturthi festive season.
