National Cinema Day is going to be celebrated in India on September 16 in an interesting manner.
The first ever National Cinema Day is going to get all the movie buffs, a huge price cut to all the movies across India. Yes, what you heard is write, on this one-day event, all Cinema halls will be charging a nominal and uniform price of just Rs 75. The more interesting thing is that this pricing will be applicable not only on regular theatres but also multiplexes including the likes of M2K, PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, Asian, Wave, and more across the nation.
This one-day offer announced will be applicable across India in more than 4,000 theatres. The theatre owners are celebrating the occasion to mark the successful reopening of cinemas after COVID-19 as a “thank you” gesture to moviegoers.
Above all, this National Cinema Day will give movie buffs a super chance to watch new movies like the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra for Rs 75. The movie will be released on September 9 and its tickets will be sold at normal price itself before this one-day-only drop in price.
However, BookMyShow is still liable to charge additional internet fees and GST on top of the Rs. 75 price tag.
