Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna is making her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Goodbye.’ Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, the film is releasing on October 7th and the trailer was launched by the makers.
Big B and Rashmika are father and daughter respectively in the film. Rashmika who starts working, gets her first paycheck and she doesn’t want to borrow money from her father anymore. Big B is a possessive father who thinks what’s wrong in asking money from parents?
These are small issues but Big B and Rashmika fight for every silly reason. Unexpectedly Neena Gupta who plays Rashmika’s mother dies and both the dad and daughter fight over the funeral. Big B is persistent that the traditions and customs have to be followed in the funeral while Rashmika gets irked seeing all the rituals.
The plot of ‘Goodbye’ looks highly inspired by the Telugu film ‘Thoolu Bommalata’ starring Rajendra Prasad but it is tuned to show a father and daughter quarrel more. ‘Queen’ and ‘Super 30’ fame Vikas Bahl is the director of the film.
Rashmika picks an author backed role for her Bollywood debut which is unusual and she does well. To perform alongside Big B is a huge honour and Rashmika excels in her role.
