Brahmastra Beats RRR, Yet To Beat KGF2

Published by

Upcoming Bollywood movie “Brahmastra” featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is the big venture that the Hindi film industry is looking for, as they want to score a big hit this year at any cost after the recent flop show of many biggies.

And then, all the intense promotions done by Ranbir along with legendary director SS Rajamouli who is the presenter of the movie are said to be holding well if the ticket sales are anything to go by.

With the advance bookings opened, the Brahmastra Hindi version is said to have sold nearly 1.5+ lacs tickets across the country. While the books are pretty aggressive in the North, in the South it is not so impressive. But then, this might result in good numbers for the film as the Opening Day tickets sold when it comes to RRR stand at just 1.2+ lacs.

Though Brahmastra has beaten RRR ticket sales on Day 1, the film isn’t yet touched the 5.1+ lacks tickets sold for KGF2 Hindi version. But going by the sales speed, it looks like Brahmastra will easily touch KGF2 figures on Day 1 in multiplexes, while single screens business is yet to be out.

On the other hand, Bollywood is expecting the Ranbir Kapoor starrer to touch ₹50+ crores nett collection on Day 1, a feat that is not achieved by any Bollywood film this year while KGF2 collected ₹60+ crores nett on its debut day.

Also, word of mouth and positive reviews are quite important for Brahmastra to survive at the box office such that it recovers the massive ₹300 crores theatrical business done, including all the languages.
