Telugu audiences would be aware of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s 2019 film Maharshi. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, this social drama was a blockbuster at the box office. It featured Mahesh in the role of a billionaire who comes back to his friend’s hometown and becomes a saviour of that village.
In this film, veteran actor Guruswamy played a key role. He is no more. He passed away on September 9. Guruswamy was seen in a farmer’s role and acted alongside Mahesh Babu in a couple of scenes.
He suited perfectly in the getup of a farmer and he was able to deliver his emotional dialogues very well even when he was acting alongside a star like Mahesh Babu.
After Maharshi, Guruswamy acted in a few other films. He was born in Veldurthi village of Kurnool district. He was a theatre artist. He used to do stage plays while he was doing a job, due to his keen interest in acting.
Many industry members, actors and audience have paid condolences to Guruswamy’s family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
