Quite surprisingly, the talk about the film says that the movie is pretty average but it looks like the average movie-goer has already fallen in love with the content inside the film Brahmastra. If the collections in Telugu states are anything to go by despite the fact that rains are lashing the major A-centres here, Brahmastra is doing something that is unexpected as it clocked ₹9 crores nett in two days.
On its release day, Brahmastra registered ₹5.76 Crores nett collection on the first day from both Hindi and Telugu versions together. And the second day is said to have touched nearly ₹3.5+ crores nett from these two states. Though the Telugu version didn’t find any special admirers from the reviews, it looks like the presence of “Rajamouli” as a presenter has helped the film get umpteen attention in B&C centres. Though word of mouth is that the film is a one-time watch, still that is getting stronger if Sunday bookings are anything to go by.
With the film not sold to any particular distributor or any producer here in Telugu, and with only Rajamouli’s good friend Vaarahi Cinemas releasing the film, surely every single penny that is coming from the box office is a bonus only. But then the coming Monday is quite crucial for the movie to stay put at the box office.
