Movie Tickets At ₹75! Oops! Cinema Day Postponed

Published by

When corporates are controlling things, surely the dynamics of business are going to get affected as per their whims and fancies. That’s what happened with National Cinema Day (Sep 16) now as many filmmakers expected the decision to keep the ticket price at ₹75 at all the multiplex chains across the nation will help their films big time.

Owing to the fact that the lower ticket price will invite lots of audiences to theatres on that day, the likes of Sudheer Babu’s Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, Regina-Nivetha’s Saakini Daakini, Kiran Abbavaram’s Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavadni, and Bigg Boss fame Sunny’s Sakalagunabhi Rama have targeted Sep 16th release. Among these, some films are actually set for Sep 9th and some for Sep 23rd initially, but they have come to 16th to cash on Cinema Day. Shockingly, now ‘National Cinema Day’ is postponed to September 23rd.

As the film “Brahmastra” is doing very well at the box office at the moment though the reviews of the film are not at all convincing, Multiplex owners have now decided to move the National Cinema Day to 23rd such that this film’s box office potential won’t get affected. But that is now gonna affect the small-budgeted films that wanted to cash on this date. And it’s going to be a bit lucky for other releases that are coming on 23rd.
