The constant requirement to feed the theatres with content is resulting in big producers who own many theatres looking for all the big options. That’s the reason why the likes of Dil Raju, Allu Arvind and Suresh Babu continuously produce films, dub movies and release other languages films here. Here comes the latest snippet.
The news has come out that Allu Arvind is now backing Tamil hero Danush’s upcoming film “Nene Vastunna” which is carved by the actor’s brother Selvaraghavan. At the same time, Dil Raju is releasing Mani Ratnam’s “Ponniyan Selvan 1” on a grand scale. Both the films are getting released within a day gap, as PS1 already locked Sept 30 as the date. Guess what, both these films are made on a large scale and aimed at the masses in a big way, but both of them lack the kick and hype that is actually needed.
In fact, Maniratnam has scored a hit long back and he has to prove it big with PS1 as audience have already tasted such films through Baahubali, RRR and Shamshera, and only the ones with engaging content are likely to impress them. And Selvaraghavan hasn’t made a blockbuster in recent times, but the fact that he teamed up with his brother, through whom he delivered blockbusters earlier, is a bit of a wow factor.
However, when there are many Telugu films releasing around at the same time, on Sept 23 and later in October 1st week, one wonders how come Dil Raju and Arvind are allocating theatres to these two dubbed movies.
