Dongalunnaru Jagratha: An Official Remake Of 4X4?

Surprisingly Suresh Babu is releasing another film in September after this Friday’s Saakini Daakini and it is ‘Dongalunnaru Jagratha’ that features Sri Simha as the lead. The film is getting released in theatres on September 23rd. Going by the trailer, the film happens to be a survival thriller as a thief gets stuck in a car and the whole film is all about his attempts to come out of it. Here’s the catch.

Looks like Suresh Babu has brought out another remake to Tollywood now as he owns rights of more than a dozen Korean and Spanish films. While his Friday releasing Saakini Daakini is a remake of the Korean film “Midnight Runners” it looks like this “Dongalunnaru Jagrathha” is a remake of the Spanish-Argentinian survival thriller “4×4” which has been a smashing hit with film lovers who love such dramas.

Though remaking a hit movie and bringing fresh content to the Telugu audience is appreciable, the fact that they have copied everything frame to frame from the original trailer and the film is somehow distracting. We have to see how the film fares at the box office.
