From last two days, there is a huge buzz that Nani’s V got confirmed for Amazon Prime Video release while Raviteja’s Krack, Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Betteru and others movies are in line for similar OTT release. But then, heroes and directors of these films are said to be pleading their producers to not release movies that way.
Apparently both Raviteja and his director Gopichand Malineni are said to have met producer Tagore Madhu other day to plead with him, to not sell the film to OTT. The film’s success is important for both Raviteja and Gopichand as their careers are going through a rough patch right now. While Zee5 is said to have already paid advance to Madhu for “Krack” movie, the producer is now in a dilemma with Raviteja and Gopi asking him to wait for theatrical release.
With no clarity over the opening of theatres and almost a six-month wait on the cards, producers are worried about the mounting interests. On the other hand, it is coming out that some producers are asking for a new deal from Amazon where they will be allowed to release the film in theatres also a couple of months later. If such deals work, maybe heroes and directors will breathe some relief.
