Usually, Megastar Chiranjeevi attends many events related to small films, big films and even programs organised by various associations that belong to Tollywood and outside. However, his absence at the promotions of Maniratnam’s Ponniyan Selvan 1 pre-release event and other events could be strongly felt, but we are hearing that there is a reason.
Apparently, Chiranjeevi has lent his voice as well for Maniratnam as he will be narrating the tale of the great Raja Chola with his powerful bass voice inside PS1. Like Chiru, we have Ajay Devgan narrating the Bollywood version and Upendra doing the same for the Kannada version. Despite being part of PS1 in this way, one wonders why Megastar Chiru hasn’t attended the events related to PS such that the film would have gotten more attention from the Telugu folks.
They say that already the film has an ensemble star cast including the likes of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi and others, and that’s the reason Megastar felt that he need not especially grace the film’s events to promote it. Also, the matinee idol is busy with closing works of his own upcoming movie Godfather and for that reason, he might have avoided the promotions of PS1.
Maniratnam’s Ponniyan Selvan 1 is releasing on Sept 30th, while the ticket counters were already opened and online bookings in Telugu states are pretty low so far.
