Allu Sirish, who is inspired by the call given by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goel, has started endorsing the ‘Buy Local’ campaign. Sirish asked his followers, fellow colleagues in industry and people to vouch for the ‘Buy Local Be Vocal’ campaign. He said the response has been great.
Sirish admitted that buying foreign-made products and import goods became fad, but he stressed the need to ‘Be Vocal’ about the Indian-made products and local goods. “Usually, we use many of our local products. But no one fluants them. This needs to be changed. Our perception on local-made should be changed,” said Allu Sirish.
Sirish said he is planning to conduct a couple of activities in the coming months to take this initiative forward. Interestingly, Sirish’s initiative has impressed his star brother Stylish Star Allu Arjun. “Actually, I haven’t informed my brother directly. My brother got to know about the campaign of ‘Buy Local Be Vocal’ through my Vadina. And he was impressed about this,” shared Sirish.
On the work front, Sirish is waiting for the industry to open up and once the things get back to normal, his next film – which is in pre-production phase – will go onto the floors.
