Ending the suspense, the Supreme Court of India on Wednesday summoned the CBI to probe the tragic death of Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput. The Maharashtra government has opposed the CBI probe but then the Bihar government argued that Sushant’s case must be probed by the central agency.
On this occasion, the Supreme Court made key remarks. On the petition filed by Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty to transfer the case from Patna to Mumbai, Supreme said, “The FIR registered in Patna by Sushant’s father is appropriate.”
Advocate Vikas Singh who is advocate on behalf of Sushant’s family stated this is a moral victory. “SC ruled on all points in our favour. The Court also clearly said that the FIR registered at Patna was correct,” said Vikas.
Meanwhile Bihar DGP found fault with Mumbai Police. “I’m very happy. SC order has strengthened trust people have in the Court & has assured the nation that justice will be delivered…Today’s verdict has proved that Bihar Police was correct. The way Mumbai Police behaved was illegal,” said the DGP while talking to the press in Patna.
