Of late, Bollywood has been experiencing a decline in the footfall of the theatres. Primarily, people are not willing to enter theatres due to high ticket rates. Unless it is a visual spectacle that needs to be watched on the big screen, they aren’t showing interest in entering cinema halls.
Recently, when National Cinema Day was celebrated by offering tickets for just Rs. 75, many people entered the theatres. After that, Brahmastra makers offered discounts on ticket rates during the Navratri season. Even that gave them good results.
Now, the makers of Vikram Vedha are also following the same formula. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, Vikram Vedha was released on September 30. Though it got good reviews, the response has been poor.
It has been a week since it was released and the collections are very disappointing. To boost the earnings, the makers have announced that the film’s ticket prices will be slashed by 20-30% across the nation from October 7.
We have to see if this formula works well for the movie. Vikram Vedha is directed by Pushkar and Gayatri.
