Garikapati Narasimha Rao’s comments on Chiranjeevi where the former asked the latter to stop the photo session with admirers at ‘Alai Balai’ program has taken a caste turn now.
Going into details, Garikapati was asked to address the gathering and he was upset with the disturbance created when the crowd took pictures with Chiru. Garikipati announced on mic that he would leave the place if the photo session wasn’t stopped immediately. Chiru immediately stopped it and even put a big namaskar to Garikapati at the event.
It is common for any speaker to get irritated but Garikapati should have conveyed the same in a much smoother way. But it is Naga Babu’s satire on Garikapati and some mega fans’ comments added fuel to the already burning issue. Naga Babu cracked a satire against Garikapati that he was envious of Chiru’s popularity. While Naga Babu and mega fans countered Garikapati, some Brahmins have come in support of Garikapati.
Brahmin groups have stepped in and given a strong counter to Naga Babu. The whole issue may snowball into Brahmins vs Kapus. It’s better to put a full stop to the whole episode and move on. Since it wasn’t intentional and both are stalwarts in their respective fields, such things should be resolved between the individuals itself and shouldn’t be passed onto groups, masses.
