Recently the musical team of “Godfather” has come up with an exclusive interview where director Mohan Raja has interviewed composer SS Thaman and lyric writers Ramajogayya Sastry and Anant Sriram. During this interview, lyric writer Anant Sriram revealed how much Chiranjeevi is actually into Telugu literature and how much he understands the grammar and beauty of the language.
“Najabaja Jajara” is one of the background songs in the film that actually gave hair-raising moments to fans inside the theatres. Talking about this song, Anant Sriram stated that after listening to the song’s first version, Chiranjeevi called him to say something, and that blew his mind.
“Najabaja Jajara Gajagaja Vanikinche Gajarau Adigo Ra is a lyric I’ve written and after listening to it, Megastar called up to say that my experiment of taking a ‘champakamaala’ formula, and describing a ‘mattebham’ with it has amazed him. If he spoke about just champakamala of Telugu grammar, I would have thought maybe he remembered his 10th-standard Telugu subject very well. But the way he spoke about Mattebham, which means a sacrosanct elephant, has really stunned me”, said Anant Sriram. “His grip on Telugu is really terrific as he reads lots of books and keeps himself updated,” said Ramajogayya Sastry, who participated in the same interview.
If some people really think that Megastar is a Megastar only because of he does what his directors say but has no understanding of things, this explains what he’s really about.
