Director KV Anudeep became a sensation in Tollywood with his blockbuster film Jathi Ratnalu. Right after that, he got a chance to direct a bilingual film with Tamil star hero Siva Karthikeyan. Both of them teamed up for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Prince.
The theatrical trailer of this film is out now. It looks like Andueep is banking on his slapstick comedy once again. Prince’s trailer is filled with one-liners and comedy punches. It is a tailor-made role for Siva Karthikeyan. However, the comedy lines are not comical, to be honest.
The lines are cringy and don’t evoke any laughs. Anudeep’s first film Pitta Goda was a flop. Jathi Ratnalu was a blockbuster but the credit doesn’t go to Andeep alone. The efforts of Naveen Polishetty and Nag Ashwin can be seen in that movie.
Recently, Anudeep scored a disaster as a writer with the film First Day First Show. The trailer of Prince is also giving the same vibes Moreover, it looks more like a dubbed flick than a bilingual film. So, the chances of Prince doing well in Telugu are pretty low.
Anudeep should have used his craze and come up with a commercial Telugu film instead. We have to see if he can prove us wrong and score a hit with Prince. The film is slated for a worldwide release on October 21.
