Every middle class woman dreams of settling life with a loving husband and thereafter a happy family. But not all dreams turn into reality and in case of Ammu played by Aishwarya Lekshmi, she believes that marriage is a fairy tale and then the twist comes.
‘Ammu is Amazon Prime’s original, produced by Tamil director Karthik Subbaraju while written and directed by Charukesh Sekar. The trailer is dropped and Ammu’s struggle in marriage life begins after she ties knot with neighbour Ravi, essayed by Naveen Chandra who is a cop.
Naveen is a tough cop and has anger issues. After the honeymoon period, Ravi and Ammu quarrel for silly reasons. He manhandles her and it goes to an extreme level. Vexed with Ravi’s attitude, Ammu decides to fight back.
The twist is Ammu uses the police department to teach her husband a lesson. This conflict is well experimented in films and this might be a different take.
The film will be streaming on Prime Video from October 19th.
