Akkineni hero Naga Chaitanya has lined up a crazy project as his 22nd film. It will be Chay’s first Tamil-Telugu bilingual and Kollywood’s talented director Venkat Prabhu is wielding the megaphone.

After nearing two weeks, the makers of #NC22 have come up with a couple of updates. It’s the supporting cast for the film and some big names have been added. Actress Priyamani, popular character artist Sampath Raj, comedian Vennela Kishore and Tamil cinema’s multi faceted artist Premgi are on board for this untitled movie.

Interestingly, Premi Viswanath, who is popularly known as Vantalakka to the Telugu audiences, has come on board. Sharing an update over the same, the team wrote, “Welcoming the Television Queen and Versatile Actress #PremiVishwanath on board for our #NC22”

Premi Vishwanath shot to fame with her portrayal as Vantalakka/Deepa in the Telugu TV Serial Karthika Deepam. She is going to play a crucial role in the film. At the same time, the makers also roped in Arvind Swamy and Sharath Kumar to play important roles in the film.

In September, #NC22 commenced its shooting in Mysore and the team is now getting ready for a new schedule. Ahead of it, the team locked the supporting cast and they are expected to join the shooting. Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja will work on the film’s soundtrack. Srinivasa Chittori is the film’s producer.

#NCC22 is touted to be a cop thriller and it will be Naga Chaitanya’s full length cop based film. Previously he acted as a police officer in ‘SSS’ but he donned the khaki uniform only for a brief time.

Krithi Shetty is pairing with Chay and it’s the couple’s second film after ‘Bangarraju.’
