Legendary director SS Rajamouli’s latest movie “RRR” has started unleashing its powers yet again. Already the film made the whole USA audience go stunned when it was released on Netflix, and later the film got released in theatres as well for which the director attended lots of special screenings. And now, the film grabbed its first award.
At the 50th anniversary “Saturn Awards”, RRR grabbed the “Best International Film” award, thus opening the array of accreditations and appreciation that are to come the film’s way. The Saturn Awards was created by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honor the best in genre entertainment, and many consider it a big win to make a mark at this awards event.
“I’m so glad that RRR has won the Best International Film award. This is my second Saturn Award, the first one I’ve won for Baahubali: The Conclusion. As I’m in Japan to promote RRR, unfortunately, I’m not able to attend the event in person” said Rajamouli, reacting to the award. Now that Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan are in Japan, surely their presence is missed at the Saturn Awards, which otherwise would have made it more endearing for the fans of the film too.
On the other hand, RRR is trying to get nominated for the Oscars, while it will also be sent to many other prominent Awards and Film Festivals, and the film might grab many awards starting from now.
