Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back after a long hiatus. She was last seen in Sharwanand-starrer Janu, followed by special number ‘Oo Antava oo Antava’ in Pushpa: The Rise. Sam returns to the big screen with the titular role Yashoda. The trailer of the film is unveiled. The trailer starts with heart beats and Yashoda asks, “Have you ever heard of two heartbeats?” She continues, “Only a mother carrying a baby can hear it.”
Yashoda features Samantha as a surrogate mother. The film revolves around an innocent surrogate mother who unearths a major scandal. How Yashoda fights the culprits and comes to the rescue of other surrogate mothers and children forms the crux of the story. Going by the trailer, the film throws light on the business of surrogacy and its negative effects.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of Samantha’s action stunts and Mani Sharma’s gripping background score and convincing visuals. The trailer also shows Samantha’s little love track with Unni Mukundan. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is seen as a woman with negative shade.
Directed by duo Hari and Harish, the film is releasing on November 11, 2022 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages simultaneously. The film is bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies.
