Other day, the theatrical trailer of star heroine Samantha Ruth Prabu’s latest movie “Yashoda” got released and it received a tremendous response from all the quarters. Those who have seen the trailer can’t appreciate the storyline that is about illegal surrogacy and other scams that have rocked the nation when it comes to childbirth using rented wombs. And then, Yashoda trailer is trending at No.1 on YouTube as we speak.
Though the trailer is trending at the No.1 position on YouTube, many are wondering where is Samantha to actually promote the film. For example in Bollywood, we have the likes of Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan doing whirlwind promotions for their Nov 24th releasing movie. They created hungama with the trailer launch of “Bhediya” first and today they have launched another song, Tumkeswari, where the lead pair rocked with their hot appearance and dance moves on the stage. Compared to them, where is Samantha, to launch the trailer of Yashoda with the media?
Releasing a trailer and other teasers didn’t even help Megastar Chiranjeevi in recent times as the buzz around “Godfather” movie got intensified only after the matinee idol attended the pre-release event and gave a goosebumps-inducing speech. Some exceptional films like Pushpa and Kantara have succeeded at the box office without promotions, but all other biggies that haven’t promoted the film have succumbed. Without looking into all these current affairs, one wonders what is actually Samantha thinking by just releasing the trailer on her Instagram page.
This kind of low promotion will not help the film Samantha unless and until you come up with a big promotional plan such that the November 11th releasing movie will get massive attention.
