The moment young producer Bunny Vasu asked senior producer Allu Arvind to watch the “Kantara” movie, the ace producer did it, and he immediately decided to dub the film into Telugu and release it. His decision worked out big time as the film collected more than ₹40+ crores gross in just 30 days of release time. But there is another side to the story.
Even before Allu Arvind approached the makers of Kantara, it is being heard that another big producer who owns a chain of theatres has made a deal with the producers of the Kannada film. But then, he hasn’t paid a single paisa advance and was looking forward to releasing the movie on a share basis only. However, when Arvind offered them a deal with advance amount, the Kannada makers decided to go with Geetha Arts for the release, and the rest is history.
Blasting his team and blaming himself for not being able to judge the film’s result correctly and get the dubbing done, this big producer is said to be sulking now for missing out on Kantara. He’s said to be sharing this with his team now and feeling bad about missing out on a big film. Even though he has theatres in hand, lack of timely decision and no intention of paying advance amounts have hit him hard now.
