A Major Difference Between Pushpa & Kantara’s Success

Published by

Already everywhere the discussion has started the “Kanatara” has overtaken “Pushpa” in terms of box-office numbers. At this juncture, many Telugu fans are wondering if Kantara is really a better film than Pushpa or vice-versa. If we have to give a perspective, both are successful films but the factors that led to their success are different. And that’s why their success itself is a different thing.

If we come to Kantara, more than the casting and screenplay, it’s the story and devotional factor that got connected to the audience. At a time when films related to the subject of God are doing quite well, surely Kantara fell in the lines of The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2, and with commercial elements topping the first half of the movie in a big way, it scored a massive success. But then, we have to see if Rishab Shetty’s next film will get the same applause as he didn’t connect as a hero to the audience, though his work as director impressed massively.

Coming to Pushpa, more than Sukumar’s creativity, it is Allu Arjun’s massive charm that has actually worked out at the box office. His way of dialogue delivery, his gestures (Taggedhe Le), his dance moves in the songs, and his action sequences have all stood tall. The commercial elements in Pushpa have worked out big time and that is why there is a huge expectation for Pushpa 2 now. Everyone knows that Part 2 will have another simple storyline, but they are waiting to see Allu Arjun’s hard-hitting performance as Pushpa Raj.

After the release of Bahubali, even Prabhas got a similar elevation across the nation, while Prashanth Neel got the same elevation after KGF rather than Yash, though the hero also got huge mileage.
