Hero Vishal and director A Vinoth Kumar’s action thriller Laatti is set for release in five languages in December. The makers started Telugu promotions by holding an event in Hyderabad. Vishal will be seen as a constable who’s married and has a seven years old boy.
While speaking at the event, star writer Vijayendra Prasad said, “Everyone spoke highly of Vishal. I will say a bad thing about him. Vishal got a disease. He shoots for any number of days, regardless of the budget. He might have got this disease from my son Rajamouli. I wish Vishal, who has a good heart, will also get success like my son.”
Karthikeya said, “Vishal’s films have been coming in Telugu for fifteen years. Vishal has huge fans among girls. Very few people have the screen presence to appear as a lover and do massive fights. Vishal is one of those rare heroes. I am waiting to watch ‘Laatti’ in the theatre.”
Finally, Vishal said, “I liked the story, when the director came to me with the story. It’s about a constable who has seven years old son. Actually, I’ve no qualms to play a father on screen. When director told me that I need to sport salt and pepper beard for first 20 minutes of the movie, I agreed to it. This film is dedicated to all the constables in India.
We play higher police officials in films. Many asked me why actors don’t show interest in showing the lives of constables. Tamil Nadu has 1.4 lakh constables, but has only 400 higher officials. The constables carry only laattis to catch the criminals. The higher official takes decisions, based on the inputs of constables. They don’t have personal lives.”
Vishal made it clear that he will marry after the completion of the building of south Indian actors.
