Nani and Prashanthi’s Wall Poster Cinema produced the former’s sister Deepthi Ganta’s debut directorial Meet Cute. The anthology series will start streaming on Sony Liv from November 25th. The pre-stream event took place today in presence of the entire team.
While speaking at the event, Deepthi Ganta said, “I can’t start without talking about Nani. This project doesn’t exist without Nani. Me as a director don’t exist without Nani. From the writing process to making to the post-production and release, Nani handheld me in every step. Prashanthi came on board and risked so much for me. All these women, Rohini, Varsha, Akanksha, Adah, Sanchita and Sunaina were all like in awe, after listening to the story. They still didn’t imagine the kind of experience; they will have on the sets. So, they listen to my every demand. I learned something from each of you. Rohini garu, you’re a film school and thanks for teaching me so much. The story itself is the hero of this anthology. There’s no heroism, and it’s about having a conversation with somebody. I’m so grateful for Satyaraj who gave me the courage that I can direct. I know the kind of hard work put in by the technical team. Meet Cute is all about all these beautiful people coming together and making it beautiful.”
Nani said, “My Cute moment was me meeting the writer in my sister. The first time, where I realized what an amazing writer she is, was my meet cute moment. I’m like happy, contented, and satisfied. As all of you owned my sister as your family member and talked much about her, my mom would be more than happy. What more can I expect as a producer?
Meet Cute has five stories. While the first story has many life lessons, the conversations in the second story will be relatable. For the third episode, my aunt dubbed for it. My sister made even my wife dubbed for the film. I thought I was introducing my sister with the anthology, but she introduced many from my family with this one. Akka also revealed that her Pelli Choopulu episode was an inspiration for a story. I’m very proud of her. If you feel stressed and have the time, just watch Meet Cute in your home. It’s a feel-good entertainer and you will definitely love it.”
