Megastar Chiranjeevi has recently come up with the film “Godfather”, which happens to be a remake of the Malayalam movie “Lucifer”. While those who have seen the Malayalam original haven’t liked the movie at all, other audiences enjoyed it to the core. But then, though the talk is super positive for the movie, the collections are not up to the mark.
When the whole of theatrical rights is valued at almost ₹92+ crores, the film “Godfather” made a collection of close to ₹63+ crores ’share’ after its final run. However, the reception that the film hasn’t seen in theatres is now being seen when it got released on OTT. Especially the Hindi version which failed to click even though it has Salman Khan’s presence in a guest role is now rocking the charts of Netflix.
Currently, both the Hindi and Telugu versions of Megastar’s “Godfather” are trending at No 1 and No 3 on Netflix as we speak. For all the good talk the movie amassed then, it is seeing great reception now as the film is likely to stay in the Top 10 of Netflix for a week at the least. On the whole, the film is enjoying blockbuster success we have to say, as staying on the Top of the Netflix charts is no joke.
