Anil Ravipudi is one of the few directors in the Telugu film industry who enjoys a 100% success rate. All his films were successful ventures at the box office. Now, he is gearing up to start his next film with Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Meanwhile, Anil also took part as a judge in Aha’s upcoming comedy show, Comedy Stock Exchange. Speaking in a recent interview, the new format of the show persuaded him in taking up the project. He said that he had an amazing experience while shooting for it.
Anil also said that he is the biggest critic of his every film. “I realize all mistakes I made in my film when I watch it in the theatre on the first day first show,” he said. He took Sarileru Neekevvaru as an example. He stated, “I enjoyed shooting Bandla Ganesh garu’s track in the train episode. But I felt it was lengthy while watching it in theatre. That single track made an impact on the entire episode. We planned to trim it on the editing table but we didn’t. Eventually, I realized it after watching it in the auditorium.”
“At the end of the day, the result matters. Even though the result comes out good, it is important for us to realize our mistakes and not repeat them in the next movie,” he further added.
While speaking about Balakrishna’s project, Anil said that the story come out really well. He stated, “We are happy to see how the script is shaped. It is next level. Even the expectations of fans will be next level. When I joined hands with a superpower like Balakrishna garu, heavy expectations were built around the project. This is a unique combination and the film will be unique too.”
Anil said that he doesn’t feel any pressure for Balayya’s project. “I grew up watching his films and analysed what suits him and what doesn’t. If he likes the beats of the story, he okays the project. So, we should prepare the story carefully (vollu daggarapettukoni) to get his nod. Once he gives his nod, half of the film is done,” he went on to say.
