Allegations are rife that Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva’s Acharya story is stolen. One aspiring filmmaker Rajesh Manduri, an assistant of director B Gopal, has claimed that the story of Chiru-Koratala’s film was his “own” and it was “stolen”.
Rajesh alleged that he had narrated the story to Mythri Movie Makers upon the reference of his constituency MLA Gottipati Ravi. He alleged that he had narrated the story outline to producer Ravi Kumar and full story to co-producer Cherry.
Rajesh claimed that Cherry had suggested him to give the story as it works only for big filmmakers like Koratala Siva. Rajesh further claimed that Cherry had advised him to do a small film for debut such as Geetha Govindam, RX 100 and Arjun Reddy. Rajesh said he was asked whether he would be willing to give out the story and he wasn’t ready.
Rajesh claimed that he had conveyed to Cherry that he was not keen to lend the story. He later expressed shock when Koratala Siva announced a similar story with Chiru. Rajesh went on to claim that he had kept silent as he had approached several bigwigs of industry for justice but no anvil. Rajesh in a statement alleged that his story and hard work have been stolen.
Meanwhile, producers of Mythri Movie Makers are yet to respond to Rajesh’s allegations. However, what is to be noted is that neither Mythri Movie Makers nor Gottipati Ravi are part of Acharya’s production. Both Gottipati and Mythri have no stakes in the film. So, what would be the interest of such reputed production houses like Mythri to leak to Koratala Siva as alleged by Rajesh.
