One of the biggest talks that have shaken up Tollywood in recent times is that ace producer Dil Raju getting ready to release not just one, but two movies during the Sankranthi 2023 season. While Vijay’s Varisu (Varasudu in Telugu) is his own production, Ajith’s Thunivu is most likely to be the dubbed film he will bring here. And here goes the twist.
Apparently, two new producers have obtained the theatrical rights of Ajith’s Thunivu’s Telugu version which is likely to be titled “Tegimpu” here. Whether Dil Raju backed these two new producers or they purchased the rights on their own is something not known to the outside world, many are wondering if these two new producers will be able to fetch theatres for Ajith’s movie. And here Dil Raju is said to have dropped the idea of buying Thunivu.
Though hero Vijay is not openly saying anything about the clash with Ajith’s film, Raju is said to have kept Thunivu aside for the fact that the Tamil superstar might get hurt if the producer releases both films. However, there are talks that Raju is likely to give backend support to the film for the release and already they are said to have secured theatres for the movie.
While these two Tamil films are on one side, Telugu biggies, Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya and Balayya’s Veerasimha Reddy are the main contenders for the Sankranthi 2023.
