Allu Arjun’s last release Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo was a huge success at the box office and owned some record collections as well. At the same time, the film was enjoyed by many on Netflix during the lockdown time. And here is the newest record it smashed.
Though many are expecting that the film that premiered on television last sunday would garner somewhere around 20 TRP, it has done the unthinkable now. The film aired on Gemini TV recorded 29.4 TRP, becoming the top and best figures for a premiered movie in the history of Telugu television. While fans are giving the credit to Allu Arjun, and some to Trivikram, we must say that all the credit goes to Netflix and SunNXT.
Fact is that, priced at Rs 1000 per annum, many buy the subscription of Amazon Prime Video without any second thoughts, but they won’t go for Netflix that costs almost Rs 400 per month alone. Also SunNXT is not so popular as an app and not many buy it, though many use it through their free JioCinema app. This led to many viewers glue to TV sets when Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo is premiered, and that’s what the massive TRPS is indicating.
Well, on this note, we must appreciate Trivikram’s sensible writing and differently styled conceiving of scenes, Allu Arjun’s subtle acting and Pooja Hegde’s glamour treat along with Thaman’s blockbuster songs, for making Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo memorable for the team for years to come.
