Son and director Ravi Babu has shared the news of his father Chalapathi Rao’s sudden demise to the media and recalled his father’s final moments. Ravi Babu said his father Chalapathi Rao had led a great life and passed away peacefully. “On Saturday night, he had his favourite food and while handing over the plate, he had fallen back. He breathed his last,” shared Ravi Babu.
Ravi Babu said three most favourite things of his father. “First one is NTR. Second is food. Third most favourite is jokes. My father had great moments with NTR. He had the best food of his life. He shared several jokes with people around him.”
Talking about his father’s personality and helping nature, Ravi Babu said, “When we were kids, we didn’t know about our father fully. But only after I came into the industry, I started knowing more about him. People who had worked with him and happened to work with me used to share several good deeds of him and his helping nature. He had never shared these things with us when we were kids. That’s his greatness.”
Ravi Babu said he had offered a role to his father in his next film for which his father had shot for it five days ago. He said he didn’t expect this would be his father’s last film. Ravi Babu said his both sisters, who are settled in the US, are likely to return by Tuesday night and his father’s final rites will take place on Wednesday.
