Ending the year on a high note, Jim Camron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ swamps the holiday box office and hit the $1 Billion mark today, which is around ₹8277 CR and it did it in just 12 Days. The film has successfully managed to surpass the box office total of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ ($955 million) to become the third-highest-grossing movie of the year behind ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Jurassic World Dominion’.
Speaking about the movie, Jim Cameron has made some interesting comments about violence in the film. “I actually cut about 10 minutes of the movie targeting gunplay action,” Cameron revealed. “I wanted to get rid of some of the ugliness, to find a balance between light and dark. Violence and action are the same things, depending on how you look at them.
He also expressed second thoughts about the classic he made. “I look back on some films that I’ve made, and I don’t know if I would want to make that film now. I don’t know if I would want to fetishize the gun, as I did on a couple of Terminator movies 30 plus years ago, in our current world,” Cameron shared.
