Raviteja’s “Dhamaka” is really doing a dhamaka at the box office with its terrific dominance over other releases. Despite the fact that the content is routine, the audience is enjoying the mass masala content inside the movie including comedy, Sreeleela’s gorgeous presence and some terrific fight sequences. And here is what happens now.
In the midst of the week, especially on Wednesday, we don’t actually find much audience for matinees, but surprisingly Dhamaka registered housefuls in many B & C centres. Already for its 5 days run at the box office, the film collected almost ₹21+ crores ‘share’ across all the territories. Almost ₹18+ crores ‘share’ came from the Telugu states only, which is a sort of shocker for trade pundits too. No doubt, Raviteja is showcasing his strength and market potential at the right moment.
Though worldwide theatricals are around ₹28+ crores, it will be touched easily by the end of Dhamaka’s run s the film got another good two weeks until the likes of Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy arrive. Now that Raviteja is also part of Sankranthi releasing Megastar Chiru’s movie, surely it will be a win-win situation for both films due to Raviteja’s hit score.
